March/April 2010

Congratulations and best wishes to all who are celebrating birthdays and wedding anniversaries during this period. Pastor Col’s 60th birthday luncheon will be celebrated after Worship today. We wish Godfrey & Joyce much happiness for their 62nd wedding anniversary yesterday.

We fairwelled Lilias Price before she left to make her new home near Ballarat. We look forward to seeing her again during the winter months.

As 2010 unfolds, we have been blessed with many new beginnings.

A library of Christian books is now available for each and everyone’s use to borrow for reading pleasure . They are displayed in the book cupboard with glass doors adjacent to the choir. Our appreciation is extended to Rhonda Oliver for this Pastoral Ministry and our heartfelt thanks to our church family for the privilege to use these books.

The Ladies first Evening Devotions with Dessert for 2010 was held 18 February. This was a very successful evening ~ they plan to meet every two months. Watch for the upcoming dates so you can slot them in your diaries, ladies.

Pastor Col, the Elders and Church Council will host an evening in the hall for our new worshippers on14 March as they share their meals with much fellowship.

Thirty-seven ladies enjoyed their first ‘Ladies Breakfast for 2010 at Manos Café on 27 February. Two more are planned for the year.

Our Seniors’ Service will be held in the Worship Centre on Thursday 25 March at 10.00 am. Please come along and invite your friends to enjoy the worship, the fellowship and the morning tea.

Please remember that everyone is welcome and invited to stay for the Pastoral Care Meeting on Sunday 28 March after Worship.

May the feet of God walk with you, and His hand hold you tight.

May the eye of God rest on you and his ear hear you cry.

May the smile of God be for you and His breath give you life.

May the Child of God grow in you and His love bring you home.
