The Appearance
of an Angel
Luke 2:8-9
“8And there were shepherds living out in the
fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night.
9An
angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone
around them, and they were terrified.”
“Holy Father I
would not dare to come into your presence without your having called me
to come, and without the covering of the blood of Jesus. I honour you
and magnify your name, asking only that I may be strengthened by being
in your presence. Through Christ my Lord, Amen .” (Hayford, 1992, p.91)

lives with awe and reverence. |
Announcing the Saviour
Luke 2:10-12
“10But the angel said to them, “Do not be
afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the
people. 11Today
in the town of David a Saviour has been born to you; he is Christ the
Lord. 12This
will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying
in a manger.”
“I praise you, O
God, for revealing your plan for the ages through Jesus Christ, and for
entrusting me with that revelation. Help me to discern Your voice above
the clamour of life, and to honour and reverence You in order to be your
close companion and confidant. Through Christ, Amen.” (Hayford, 1992,
p.55)

Peace on Earth
Luke 2:13-14
“13Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host
appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
14Glory
to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favour
rests.”
We worship you
Father, along with the heavenly hosts. Thank you that your peace is here
and available to us because your Son, Jesus Christ paid the debt of our
sin. Through Him we give you thanks and praise, Amen

Share the Good News
Luke 2:15-20
“15When the angels had left them and gone into
heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and
see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”
16So
they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying
in the manger. 17When
they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told
them about this child,
18and
all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them.”
“Father I praise
you that your name is being praised in loving and supernatural ways
around the globe today where people of every race and tongue have heard
and received the Good News. Please use me I whatever way my tongue can
best be used to glorify You and to speak the truth in love and to
release ever-new praises to Your Name. Through Jesus, my wonderful Lord,
Amen.” (Hayford, 1992, p.99)
